Warranty Coverage

All vehicles sold by Kuruma Hunter Auto undergo an inspection and necessary repairs in Japan, followed by a second provincial inspection after arrival in Canada. We make every effort to address any issues identified during these inspections before the vehicle is offered for sale.

Please keep in mind that under Canadian import regulations, most vehicles imported from Japan must be at least 15 years old. As a result, our vehicles are pre-owned vehicles of this age or older, and normal wear and age-related maintenance should be expected.

Toyota Vehicles

For Toyota vehicles, Kuruma Hunter Auto provides a complimentary 6-month in-house powertrain warranty for customers located in the Greater Vancouver area.

Customers may also choose to purchase a longer warranty term and/or additional coverage through Lubrico Warranty.

For customers located outside the Greater Vancouver area or outside British Columbia, the Kuruma Hunter Auto in-house warranty is not available. Instead, an eligible 6-month Lubrico powertrain warranty will be provided.

Other Japanese Makes

For Japanese vehicles other than Toyota, Kuruma Hunter Auto provides an eligible 6-month Lubrico Powertrain Value Plan for our customers.

Customers may choose to upgrade the warranty term and coverage at an additional cost.

Special, Performance & European Vehicles

Certain specialty, performance, collectible, and European vehicles are sold without complimentary warranty coverage.

Examples include vehicles such as the Mazda RX-7 FD, Alfa Romeo MiTo, Peugeot RCZ, Renault Mégane, and other specialty or limited-production models.

Lubrico Warranty coverage may be available for certain vehicles at an additional cost. Availability depends on the specific vehicle and Lubrico's eligibility requirements.

Extended Warranty Options

Longer warranty terms and additional coverage options may be available through Lubrico Warranty at an additional cost.
